"India"- A kaleidoscope of fragrant flowers, buds yet to bloom, Green rain forests , The Holy Ganges dip, The exquisite Taj- Mahal,Dance and Music, culture, traditions, Festivals , fun frolic, in its true sense , is famous for its VARIETY or DIVERSITY. When there is variety, it obviously means that there is choice and when choice is given , people live as they like ; do what they like. Earlier the VARIETY was considered opulent .Diversity used to be considered a delight. But nowadays it is deteriorating. What is the reason behind this ? The answer is not one, infact many.
The first and foremost being, the so called democracy system. It has always been OF the people,BY the people and never FOR the people. Now, that depends on several factors such as illiteracy, poverty, population, socio economic issues, anti- social activities. This is a known fact. These factors could be curbed if the politicians are not corrupt. So, the second contributor is CORRUPTION - mockery of democracy. Indians are used to break the rules and when they are penalized they are habituated to bribe the person. In that situation if the person concerned wouldn't have accepted the bribe ,then there is no question of corruption. Anything and everything in India is possible if a person has a political influence. As already mentioned too many languages and too many subsects at one point creates a divide. For instance the Telangana issue of Andhra Pradesh could have been wisely handled by the party. The next began the curfew and riots on the masjid issue. If one issue begans to halt , the other issue rises. Not to forget the wretched Mumbai blasts. The problem with the politicians is that they always want a media hype, gain fame and sympathy out of it . They are never ready for amicability. We cannot let India to break into tiny pieces.
The third major cause is the narrow mindedness or the fickleness of the Indian Society. A generalist approach doesn't work in this case as there is VARIETY.Every area should have a broader perspective. Be it culture, traditions, heritage. Though there is considerable increase in the economical status of people, there is an equal amount of decrease in the richness of natural heritage i.e the flora and fauna. Almost all the species are endangered and rest extinct already. People generalize it as global warming but,who is responsible for global warming? The answer lies in the human conscience.
It is truly pathetic. The blood shed during the freedom struggle have all gone in vain. Its impractical to speak about the past , but as always our culture is known for its spirit of tolerance. All I can do is hope for a better future because I'm also an INDIAN; one of the culprits . Let's all nurture nature for future !!! WAKE UP YOUNG INDIA !!!
